According to recent estimates from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index and Forbes, Musk’s net worth is around $399 billion as of mid-February 2025. His wealth is primarily derived from his stakes in Tesla and SpaceX, with over 60% coming from Tesla shares and options. However, JPMorgan forecasts a potential 48% decline in Tesla’s stock price over the coming year, citing stalled automotive growth and doubts about maintaining historical delivery growth rates.

According to an article in Vanity Fair, “The Musk kid count continues to climb, with news of two new children fathered by the novelty t-shirt enthusiast emerging this year already. If we keep going at this one baby per month rate, things are going to get weird. Or…weirder.”
Why so Many Children?
Elon Musk has 12 children, and his decision to have a large family is deeply rooted in his pronatalist views. He believes that low birth rates pose a significant threat to humanity’s future, often stating that population decline is one of the biggest dangers facing civilization,
While many regions are experiencing declining or slowing growth rates, sub-Saharan Africa remains an exception with high fertility rates. By contrast, countries like Japan and China are already seeing significant declines in their populations due to low birth rates and aging populations.
Over sixty countries are currently facing declining populations, including Italy, Japan, Germany, and parts of Eastern Europe. By 2100, only a few countries like Somalia and Niger are expected to have fertility rates above replacement levels globally.
Musk advocates for increasing birth rates as a way to ensure the survival of humanity and has expressed these sentiments publicly on social media platforms. Musk’s personal life reflects this philosophy; he has fathered children with multiple women and would not surprise anyone if more Musk fathered children appear.
In an effort to promote population growth further, Musk has reportedly offered sperm donations to friends and acquaintances, though these offers have been declined by at least one recipient

Not only did Vivian clap back — and have Grimes come to her defense — but she labeled her estranged dad a “serial adulterer who won’t stop f–king lying about [his] own children” in August 2024.
Grimes Produces Three Kids
Then there was Canadian singer and songwriter: Grimes (Claire Elise Boucher). Elon Musk and Grimes met on Twitter in April 2018 after flirting back and forth. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Met Gala a few days later.

Beyond the limelight, Elon Musk welcomed twins, son Strider and daughter Azure, with Shivon Zilis in November 2021, according to court documents published by Insider.
The twins were born in Austin, Texas — just weeks before he and Grimes welcomed a baby girl via a surrogate.
In 2024, she welcomed their third child. She has reportedly moved into the Texas house that Musk built for all his 11 children. He has reportedly created this unconventional set-up to continue his mission to father more children with different women.
Elon Musk has four children with Shivon Zilis, a director at Neuralink. The first two are twins named Strider and Azure, born in November 2021. Their third child was welcomed in early 2024. We now know she is named Arcadia. Her baby brother is Seldon Lycurgus.

And then a few hours later, the announcement came. Zilis had a birthday gift for Arcadia, a little brother named Seldon Lycurgus.
